We still have snow here. This painting was completed for Sketchfest, all works of art based on prompts must be completed in 1 hour or less. I chose the prompt cherry blossoms. I can't wait for my cherry trees in my yard to be in bloom.

Unfortunately, we do not have cherry blossoms here in Florida, so thank you for sharing this pretty watercolor! Lovely. :)

Thank you gallery318, you may not have cherry blossoms, but wow for all the other beautiful flowers that grow there in Florida. Wonderful :)

The sketchfest sounds a good idea, but does it all happen at the same time or do you time it from a 'log in'?

Charlie's Mum, sketchfest (free) is a once a month, in a 24 to 48 hour period. You have to log in (register) and you can sell the art work you complete there through them, if you want to. Rules are posted that all work must be completed in one hour or less and must be based on prompt listed (artists post the prompts) during that session of sketchfest. It has a lot of fantasy art and a little bit of everything. Fun to do. www.ellenmilliongraphics.com/sketchfest/index.php.

Thanks - I'll take a look ....... wondered if something similar might be tried here!
We do have a WDE (Weekend Drawing Event) held in the All Media Art Events forum (link in my signature), which is supposed to last two hours, but it's at any time in a week - until next one is posted following weekend.
Why not join us sometime?:D
