So anne-claire asked me to post this here, and I have included most of my steps as well as the blurry photo on my desktop :mad: here they go starting from finished to 60% to less than an hour's work, to my reference... sorry i am just backwards sometimes...

Kelly is done on 140lb cold press paper, with the following colors, sap green, naples yellow red, burnt sienna, prussian blue, rose madder, raw sienna, vermillion and new gamboge...

Thanks for posting your progress pictures... the test colors are most revealing how you went from red to green without getting YUcK. I'm wanting to paint another people painting now. see what you done??? thanks bobby ;)

Wow! Great portrait! The colours are so clear and fresh.

And backwards or forwards, it is terrific to see your progress shots - they're really wonderful. :D

Can you say a bit about your method - how you build a watercolour portrait like this and what you're aiming for as you work.
