View Full Version : My newest style

It has been a while since have posted here and thought I might show off some of the new style I have been working on the past 2 years. Started out as doodles and my husband said "why don't you do paintings like that?" 2 years later I am totally hooked on this and having a ball with it. For lack of a term I call it my Zen Style. Here are a couple of my latest examples but you can see them all on my website www.sherryshipley.com (http://www.sherryshipley.com)

Otherworldly! Tempted to imitate your style. Remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Sherry, these are beautiful - almost have a stained-glass or batik look about them! But very soft and supple. Very good style, I think you're going in a good direction.

Those are really beautiful. It looks like you enjoy finding patterns in thing like I do. Your style is a nice marriage between realistic and abstract. The colors really pop!

I love the second one, beautiful use of colours. They are very like Tiffany Budd's fractured style - http://www.tiffanybudd.co.uk/

It's an interesting, attractive style. Maybe you can approach a gallery with the ones you've done, and see if you can line up a solo show for a series of them.
