I know the feeling Joseph. Wasting paint is a category in which I live, but anyway, its better than not getting a chance to do it at all.

I kinda like what greggo said.

I think I have to agree with Greggo. Paint is never wasted. If you don't like it paint over it using the under painting for the next one. Absolutely, no waste. Joseph, I think you should do another one like this and only use the strokes etc. filling the whole canvas without the brown cyclone at the top and then do a Mel on it and see what you can see in the clouds and work from there. Just a thought.
