This is a painting I did in Painter from a photo I took of my son's mare, Twiggy.
I had it printed later on canvas. I did this a few years ago, and after painter I put an overlay of brush stroke texture over the top. (I don't do this anymore) but I still like the way it turned out even with the texture.

This is a great painting of your sons horse. I have had some of my paintings done that I did in painter also, and printed on canvas, but never tried painting over for texture. Did you use acrylic's or oils? You did a great job

The texture was added after Painter, but before printing. I have not tried painting after printing yet. Maybe someday in the future!
Thank you Lucy and Michelle for your kind remarks.

Beautiful job. I like the textures. Sometimes digital textures look too "regular" and fake, but this looks wonderful.

If you would like a copy of the impasto texture I applied, you can do a search for "Johns Impasto Varnish" and he has made them available for download there.
Thank you all for your kind comments!

It has such a wonderfully warm feeling and serenity in it from that beautiful lighting and color.
