You can't beat poppies for a dramatic floral. Very nice! :)

Thanks all! To answer your question bluefish about putting lines around every shape, I didn't think it needed it. Or does it?

Hi Kay....been sitting here with my Micron pen awaiting your reply....just kidding you....I love the painting as is but was wondering why you didn't overcoat the pencil lines with Micron?
now you answered my question....it was a 'artist decision'!.....to each his/her own....
have a wonderful holiday and keep posting your beautiful work, I love it....

Lovely poppy. Lines around the background leaves would bring the background forward instead of leaving it where it belongs :)

Thanks Paula and Hannapanna. Paula is right. If every shape was outlined then all would be of equal importance. I've been doing these for so long that it is intuitive what to leave in or out.
