Acrylics on cardboard, size? Dunno, maybe just about right?

Really intriguing.
I suspect I would be on a constant journey of discovery with this one-
just the kind of painting that one would want in a dining room
constantly examining this for new nuances and surprises.

The Feckless Dinner Party
by Walter del Mare (a little jumbled up) - for Birdh's dinner party.

Only the tiniest party, 8.
(Soup Burnt)
“Heaven’s! Are we right?”
The air’s scarcely breathable.
Follow up closer, sand blind.
“Such nudes!”
“Whose turned down the light?”
“Keep calm!”
“Honey, I can hear the creature hum!!”

The polite talk slowly faded to awkward silence.
the hifi in the living room was now audible.
In a coincidence, "Stormy weather" was playing,
sultry, plaintive, achingly sad.

"The title of my new painting
is also 'Stormy Weather'" I blurted out

'What new painting?'
'Your walls are completely covered with paintings'
'which one is it?'

John was new to the dinner party circuit..
Dashingly handsome,
he was invited strictly for eye candy
no one really cared or expected him to speak.
but he had
so we must respond.

'That painting>>>'
'the colorful one'
'in the silver frame'
'right behind you.'

As he sssssloooowly rose to examine the details closely
we all just admired the admirer.
sometimes the candy is just as delicious right side up
as it is upside down. backward or forward.

a titter was heard
as he leaned even closer to the Art
"amazing" he slowly uttered
"but the title makes no sense"

"That is because it is Fine Art."

'Shall we discuss this over dessert?'

"Fine Art, indeed."

and the dinner conversation was saved
my dinner parties are always a success.

"Johnny good thing!"

Hairy, and as for the painting well I think Walter del Mare answered that.

It's all about the stormy weather of the mind
When peaceful shores are left behind
We place our naked body against the sky
And though it's very cold we do not cry
