View Full Version : Snowy scene - drawn on Boogie Board, painted in Corel

A "Boogie Board" is an LCD drawing tablet - One day I was a passenger in the car driving up a mountain road near Mountain High ski resort. I took out the boogie board that was in my bag and quickly sketched the trees on the hillside. I then took a photo of the sketch for later when I was home and could take it into Corel Paint Shop Pro to play around with it and add color and other effects.
I've yet to learn how to really use a paint program and just use my mouse to paint things. I was happy to find this forum here at Wet Canvas and have only just begun to browse through it.

This is really different, it looks like you were pouring paint.

i guess in a digital way i was "pouring" paint - i used a fill tube meaning I outlined certain things I wanted a certain color and then hit "fill". I know next to nothing about digital stuff - so I'm just having fun playing around with effects I can try.

Welcome to the Digital Forum! I'm not familiar with Boogie Boards- gotta go investigate!
This has a really nice energy to it!

thanks Elaine - a boogie board is fun to take in the car and sketch - whatever you sketch stays there until you press a button and it erases it. It has a stylus with it that you use for sketching. Brookstone carries them - i think they run about 50 dollars. My sis got me one when she came to town - she had one and used it often. The only way to get your sketch to a computer however, is to take a photo of it and load it to your files.

Well Welcome to DIGITAL! The best part of digital is there are no rules and the best way to learn is to play! I really do like the effect on the trees!
