I like this kind of 'folksy' painting, all the little details.
Perhaps open the gate a little more as an invitation and fade the road a bit in the distance.
The wooden planks are excellent!

Excellent job with the details of the foliage and house. Great comp on the way of life in the hills, luv it.
Agree with Maureen on fading the road a bit. The truck looks a little askew to the road.

Thanks everyone for your C&C I went back and faded the road and truck as suggested by Charlie's mum and Susan and it made a big difference in the depth of this painting.

This is a beautiful painting! What great detail on the wooden house and the foreground trees and powerful contrast in the foreground.

I see a horizontal row of round beige shapes among the background trees. One of the round shapes is above the woman's head, and looks like it is suspended from the tree. Don't know what they represent, but my eye went directly to the ball above her head. Maybe get rid of that one and change the tone and color of the others, to more match the foliage (just not beige, make them more subtle and not circle-shapes?)
