View Full Version : My eight latest acrylic paintings

I haven't posted on here for some time because being an animal/wildlife artist,I'm more often over in the Animal/wildlife forum.
Anyway,I thought you might like to see a little exhibition of the paintings I've painted since the end of November. All are painted on 300 grm water colour paper. The largest painting is the beach scene of a Husky and Hovawart, which is 24" x 18",so all the others are smaller than that !
I hope you enjoy viewing these. You've all been doing some great paintings since I last posted here !!! I should have a look more often !!

Thanks for your kind compliments! If you go over to Animals and Wildlife, you will see the February tutorial that I'm giving on how to paint a black dog in acrylic. There's a Sticky on this acrylic forum inviting acrylic artists to have a look at my tutorial. It's the first time I've given a tutorial....I'm really flattered I was invited to give one !!!

Thanks so much for your kind compliments. The last painting of the Black Labrador,is the subject of the tutorial I'm giving over in animals and wildlife. So if you fancy a go at it,you'll find the original photo of the Black Labrador(Sammy)on which the tutorial is based.
Susme48 made a great job of painting Sammy.

As a dog lover of long-standing, and a painter of rather short-standing, your works are absolutely amazing. I would love to be able to paint our dog. She is a beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer named Sophie. She is extremely photogenic.

I'll just ditto all of the above!

I was amazed to follow your Classroom thread in A&W and note your method!
It seemed such a shame to cover up all that delightful drawing - but if it works for you, why knock it! :D

What a great collection of paintings! I agree with every comment/praise/ditto, and particularly with Meredith regarding the human touch. I would also encourage anyone that is even slightly interested to view (and participate) in the Tutorial as recommended earlier as an option.
