Ugh. I'll try this....this, cringe-worthy posting business.

So, it's oil on masonite, 40 x 28, and it has little pebbles and other debris mushed into the gesso. I like the big eyes on sumerian sun god statues and I think this was a grouping from a museum collection that was destroyed in the Iraq war. "She" was from an old LIFE magazine article - in ecstasy at a Beatles concert. I took the liberty of changing her pixie haircut and taking off her "baggy dress" (and she didn't even object!) and then happily noticed that all their hands were in the same position - clasping, or praying?

All comments are welcome. Despite the fact I hate showing my work, I'm not fragile so you can be honest. Sticks and stones...

It is hard to believe that this is actually painted. Wow.

Whoa man, how did you get that glow so even?

well that was unexpected...
but unlike the last blind date, a treat for the eyes.....

creativity is alive and well

Wow, this place moves fast...and I almost forgot I posted this! Thanks Nikki, Greg and Katie for your nice comments and Optic...I suppose I got the glow so even because I'm very "anal" - technically speaking that is. Inside, things are much more messy and chaotic. Don't really like that about myself and is one reason why I don't like posting and actually looking at my work because I think, "Who's that?" But anyway, there you go.

Thanks again, all.

AAh I love it, those big eyes! haha! I also love the pastel colors. Very strange painting, but in a great way. I wish you would post more... even though I understand how unsettling it can be to show work.
