Well I was experimenting with an idea this morning and this came out. Thought it was interesting so guess I'd like to hear what anyone else has to say. My thinking moving forward would be to have multiple colors exposed at different areas behind a simple top layer. We will see where it goes.
Thanks in advance for any and all comments.

Forgot to mention 12 x 12 acrylic on canvas.

I just stare at these and am amazed.
Do you plan them out (location of undercolors) or do you just paint the undercolors then scrape away?
I really like this one

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yea greggo I started out not really planning much underneath but now that I have an understanding of how it works I've been trying to at least have an idea going in on what I want to see.

This is an interesting exploration, I applaud the effort and bravery in attempting this.
However, I do find the techniques and composition a bit incongruous, and as such suffers aesthetically (at least to me). I am interested to see where this one will go. :)
