Christine, thanks for the lovely photos of your trip! I have saved a few for later this week. The line drawing took 15 minutes and the watercolor sketch about an hour. I was quite thrilled with the color fusions of the first wash but:eek: did not work quick enough to add the darker tones before the paint tried.....hard edges of second wash on the shell! 7 x 5 inches

It's lovely, very wet and soft, and a few hard edges won't hurt anything.... it gives it a little personality.

Good sketch and wonderful watercolour painting.
I like your hard and soft edges on his shell, beautiful splash/wave action in the water also.
