My first WDE, and the images were just what I needed on a cold winter's day. This was done on 9 x12 paper with graphite. It was difficult to choose an image as there was so many that tempted me. Thanks for the great references!

You be adding color?

Another question....if you're from North Dakota, why the Canadian flag?

Your drawing is wonderful. I'm glad you joined WDE. I only just rejoined recently and I think you will find that this is a great way to get the creative spirit going.

Thanks everyone! Guess I need to finish updating my profile as we just recently moved to Williston North Dakota from Alberta (hubby's job was the reason), and since I am not working I want to spend my time doing more art. Looking forward to participating more! Varli I may paint it or doing it in colored pencils would be fun as well, but we will see as since doing this I have a couple of ideas stirring regarding some Saskatoon (Juneberry) blossoms that I took reference photos last year.

Didn't see this before I saw your pastel today. I chose the same conch shell to paint in pastel a few years ago and was so pleased with it, each of my daughters-in-law have one framed in their bathroom. Love your drawing, and you might consider doing it in pastel.
