I resolved to do more sketching and more figures as I'm seriously out of practice.
These are quick works, trying to get positions before the screensaver clicks in - so 15 mins max per figure or close group ...... spent about 45 total I think.
Here they are, warts 'nd all - and the last one definitely 'in the spirit of...' :D

Pencil - each one roughly 6" at most.

A couple of the Mummers -

A couple of the Viewers -

... and a very poor attempt with my nephews :(

Thanks for looking - and I hereby promise to sketch more!!!!

Great sketches Maureen. Such a wise idea to let the screen saver help you time the sketch.

These are great Maureen, you caught the poses beautifully in 1 and 2 especially. They look like you have done them from life.

Fantastic, Maureen. Everything works with the sketches - not an easy task! They are all in proportion.:clap::clap:

Lovely sketches!
I like the first one most, and it's one of the pictures and crop actually I had my eyes on, if I find some time to paint this week :D

I agree with Robert and Mary - if this is out of practice you'll blow our socks off with more practice - super!!! and I love the idea of the limited time thing. Great inspiration and motivation for the likes of me.

Eeps - Mummers are actors who travel around - groups usually write their own stuff and perform at Festival times - or in this case, during the summer at places tourists visit:D
From medieval times.
