Happy new year!
Olive harvest is over and learning is back to being top priority but that at least doesn't rob me of the will to draw/paint that much..
I need to find some time to comment on all your threads, but till then I'll just post what I painted..

both are about 17x12.5 cm children's gouache on cheap watercolor paper..
45 min for this:

and 1 hour and 20 min for this one:

critique and comments are very very welcome!

have a nice day!

Excellent work - that one of Susan is great - cheap gouache paints are hard to work with - try a couple of quality ones - you'll love the difference in creaminess and intensity of the colours.

Both worth waiting for Oty! Susan's portrait is especially good even on the cheap paper which unfortunately is all I can find here. BTW, I like Susan's.... ' olive green' scarf.....we still have a few days left of olive picking.

Yum, olives - I like them in any color or variety!
This little boy is so charming - looks like he came off a cereal box or from a story book. Good portrait of Sue as well!

Flug this little guy has a Norman Rockwell type of look - well done and also ditto for Sue's portrait.

I love them both! The little splash of red on his collar grabs my attention and takes me right into the portrait.
