I will be posting 16 images and a challenge.

Please wait until all are uploaded before commenting - thank you.

You have 30 minutes to make your choice and choose your materials - you may use any medium.

For the next two hours, just go for it……then STOP!, scan or photograph your work and post it in your own new thread with your title, beginning with WDE, plus date, plus title.

When you introduce your work, please add a description of size, medium, support (paper, canvas etc) and time taken.
If your work is digital, we'd appreciate a description of whether it's freehand drawing/painting, manipulated image or done using the filters available in some programmes - you could also say which programme you've used.
All are acceptable but we'd like to know the "hows, whys and wherefores"!!

Use WIP for any work in progress at the 2 hour mark, and MI for multiple images if other works are to be added before the following Monday.

NB. To avoid forum flooding, please put all of your work during the weekend, for the current WDE, into a single thread: multiple threads will be merged!
From the following TUESDAY, you may open a new thread for later work.

You have the whole week to participate - until the next WDE starts (usually Friday). If you finish a piece after that time, we now run a 'Catch-up' thread in the forum each month where you can post any WDE not completed in its allotted week .... it's a sticky near the top of the forum page.

After posting your contribution, please view others’ entries and comment and encourage when you can. Unless requested, please refrain from critiquing.

After logging 2002 miles driving in 7 days and flying about 2000 miles in three weeks these are some of the people, places, furry friends and a couple of plants we visited along the way.

New Years Eve at the hotel room in lovely Downtown Monroeville, PA :roll eyes:

Getting this done a little early. We are getting some weather and I don't want to take any chances.......

The challenge if you choose to accept it is, if you have made any art related New Year resolutions. Apply it to what you do and tell us a little bit about it.

Thank you for taking us along on your trip. I have such a backlog to finish. But at least all the rellies have gone now and the house is somewhere nearly back to normal. Now the loooooong boring drag to easter begins.

Great photos and it looks like a wonderful trip. My resolution was "live better" and try to become self supporting on my writing in 2014 (start the ball rolling and move toward it, I think I've only got about a 10% chance of total success but it could happen if I get lucky and new treatments help my disabilities.) The big one is to try to build up to 40 hour weeks or know the reason why.

So... participating at all is going to be motion since I'm doing art as part of Live Better and if it's at all related to my career - like the art generates an article about doing it - then it's spot on in my resolution. And I love your cats. So... maybe I can somehow use your cats in an article or my project! They're cats you visited but the cats you posted are gorgeous. Especially Wayne, but I'm considering posing them together to demonstrate "black and white fur."

Robert, I see you on FB. I'll be looking for the kitties. There is a story behind the kitties. We had a ferrel cat hanging out around our house. She became quite tame, I was going to take her in to be spayed, it was too late. She had 3 adorable kittens she raised in my potting shed. My brother in law adopted all three of them.
