Hey Nikki, This is one of my favorites. Title and expressions are perfect. Mr and Mrs. Boxhead are always apprehensive when they receive a gift from their neighbor, Mrs. Pandora.

It's ok Artby, Mrs. Pandora Fandora who sat on her Bandora choked on a piece of sellotape! Perhaps you could paint it!

Or perhaps some boxes are just better left unopened.

and the implied counter-argument is the debate is

and some boxes should be opened right away

the quandary is:

which kind of box is this>???

Nikki, You must have been thinking outside of the box to create this one. (It had to be said. Sorry. No more "box" puns. I will put a lid on it. Whoops. Sorry again. I'll wrap this up...aaagh)

Some words better left unsaid
Secret boxes closed for good
Tiny doors open just a tad
Allowing the bluebird unto the wood

I hope the woods are kind to such a special bird.

Hey Nikki, as for the painting.....: your simplification process of form and your sensitive treatment of color fields is captivating.
