I like the look, might have a gone a bit deeper into the midnight blue direction.
Great ref phot and (for me) always wise to sketch first.

I like the painting. Something new, didn't see cities here before. I don't know why, but for whatever reason I think the black is missing, but I might be wrong.

Yes the sky could be darker, more midnight blue ... maybe the its the title's fault for what to expect ;)
You're right, I may avoided blavk to much. Couldnt have harmed to use it here and there!
I disagree with those who said you needed to use black in this watercolor. Maybe more dark blue for the sky and some darks for the buildings, but I dig the colors otherwise.
By the way, what city is that in the photo?

I didn't knew either, just googled "city skyline" and saved that picture. I just made a reverse search and it seems to be Shanghai! :)
