Thanks for hosting Helen, this is acrylic on canvas 12 x 18 inches and it took 1 hour 20 minutes. I think I went too dark on the background but it is not too awful, I quite like the echinacea

That's great Christine, I don't think the background's too dark - it brings out the light on the figure.

Great job and no, the background isn't too dark, you have some wonderful colors back there and she pops because of them.

I absolutely agree with Helen, the background is wonderful. It isn't too dark, and all the color really makes it pop. Just love all the color in this.

I like it christine - and on the ref, the b/g was very dark, so you needed that dark tone!
