Joel, I really liked all your references but wanted to try the peppers.... I may try another one later this week...... water color on 140lbs Archers watercolor paper.... 1 to 2 hours roughly.... not good at keeping time...

Nice shine on that green pepper Paul ..... has the photo come out a little darker perhaps, losing the bright red?

Well done

Hi Paul, I love it that you zoomed in on the peppers - it gives it a little bit of an abstract feel. Nice highlights too!

Thanks for joining this week. Yeah - hope you can still give some of the ref photos a go!

Good work!
Though I wish the red was a bit brighter.

Connie, Paula, Maureen, Christine, Joel, Vicki, Guilliame, Bonnie, Oty, DWhite, and Anna... thanks for the positive feedback.... The original red is not much brighter nor intense than what shows up on my screen. I scanned the sketch, didnt take a picture with a camera.. I wanted to get a more intense red in areas of the red peppers but didn't come out that way :(... I am not totally sure why..... I may try just putting a pinch or two of straight cad red in some areas and see if that helps.....

Great painting, Paul! Like the close crop!

Thanks Deno....

I tried to intensify the colors a bit more and I think it is definitely better .... thanks

O! yes.... perkier in the second shot.... more yum colors..... although I have to admit I was eyeing the golden yellow in the first shot, the pepper dead=center up top?? for the color for my kitchen walls... I'm collecting swatches..............
