Thanks for hosting Joel, I chose the firewood haulers and thought I had finished at 90 minutes when I had to stop to get the lunch. After looking at it I decided that there was more work needed so I spent another 30 minutes or so trying to get it right. It is 8 x 10 inches on canvas board and took two hours in total.
This is after 90 minutes.
And a further 30 minutes got me here. I was working directly off the computer screen and when I compared the painting with the ref I realised I had left out the left arms of the first 2 figures.:lol:
Thanks for looking and all C and C welcome.
PM me your address Joel if you want it.

This is great . . . I love the vibrant colors and the movement in the piece. I also love the sponteneity and the visible brush strokes. I also love the suggeste background and the way you represented water.
Of course, I would love to have this! Thank you so much in advance. I will PM you my mailing address.

The missing arms were driving me crazy so I just had to add them. I will definitely leave it alone now. Thanks for your comments and encouragement Kate and Joel.

Real sense of movement in this, love the loose style, very nicely done (and much better balanced with the arms in !)

Very nice movement in the painting. You really don't need to paint the arms on the second two...the darks below the bags are enough to indicate arms and the eye of the viewer adds the rest of the information. Well Painted!
