Finally got around to doing another watercolour, compliments of Devamarie's excellent photo 'Pink flower' in the reference library and a personal challenge from two other local artists for a combined attempt for all three of us to place an entry in the latest Australian Artist Magazine's 'Still Life & Florals' challenge no.55. This one is my attempt. Many thanks Devamarie for your inspiring photo

Many thanks for all the great comments Lil, Cindy, Marion, Jean & Maureen, but I think the bulk of the credit should go to the photographer, when I saw it in the Reference Library, it was just begging to be painted, besides, I'm a real sucker for all those convoluted petals & the pinks work so well with Opera Rose, Quinacridone red & Alizeran crimson.

Wonderful watercolour! Love it!
I get the Australian Artist Magazine every month....one of the best Art Mags of them all. I will await the No 55 Challenge "Still Life & Florals" Challenge with huge interest! Your painting is awesome and my best wishes for success in this. I see from the magazine, the results are in the March Issue, so I will be out to the mailbox as soon as its March to check my favorite magazine! I will cross my fingers for you.

I don't think I can find words worthy enough to describe your talent or touch, this piece literally took my breath away way when I scrolled down. Exquisitely executed, color is pristine and sensuous..... all the best with the entry I will be rooting for you.
