Thanks for hosting Marianne and the inspiring refs. I havent seen this much interest for some time.
The harpist has done in acrylic on canvas board measuring 10 x 8 inches and took 50 minutes.

The jellyfish I wanted to do biggish so went with acrylic on canvas instead of ink and measures 24 x 30 inches. This took 30 minutes and I used very watery acrylic on a wet canvas to start and had to stop to let it dry. Not sure if I like it or where I want to go with it

Nice painting of the harpist Christine - did you use a a palette knife - some of the strokes in hair and beard look like it - I love your loose style with acrylics. Nice start on the jellies.

Thank you Kate. Yes I was trying to get a sharp line for the harp strings but it all got a bit messy and I just carried it over to the hair and beard trying to define some curls.

Like your loose style on the harpist and the colours work well. Goods start on the jellies, will be interested to see where you go with it.

Lovely contrast in styles here Christine and both so promising!

I'd love to see you continue the jellyfish and develop that runny watery dripping style! Did you do the main fish upside down to get that lovely effect?

Wow Christine! Your work has exploded! I'm just loving your latest pieces! The harpist is wonderful is such a short time and jellyfish looks done to me at this stage.

it was an odd scrolldown for me: the intense concentration on the first to the free-form floating on the second.... whoa! and you've caught both!!! yay for you!

I like 'em both, Christine! It's great how all the jellyfish are so individual in their state of development....gives it interest and depth!
