Stephen Quiller (https://artistsnetwork.tv/c-147-stephen-quiller.aspx) is back with ArtistsNetwork.TV (http://artistsnetwork.tv) with the next two installments of his Color Foundations guide. In chapter 5 (https://artistsnetwork.tv/p-539-color-foundation-with-stephen-quiller-5-double-analogous-color-scheme.aspx), you'll learn how to build the value of a painting with double analogous color schemes. Steve demonstrates how to apply dominant and subordinate analogous color schemes to your paintings. You’ll learn how to unify a painting and build form through neutralizing down the colors as well as their full pigment in subordination to the dominant scheme.

In chapter 6 (https://artistsnetwork.tv/p-540-color-foundation-with-stephen-quiller-6-triad-color.aspx), you'll see how the different triad color schemes work, as well as how to create neutral tones from it, and then do two separate paintings of the same scene, showing how emphasizing different colors within the triad will change the mood and tone of a painting.

Preview both double analogous and triad colors, then hit ArtistsNetwork.TV ([URL="http://artistsnetwork.tv) for the full-length videos to see him demonstrate each concept with two different paintings of the same scene. Missed chapters 1-4? No worries, you can get them all at ArtistsNetwork.TV (http://artistsnetwork.tv).
