Made this portrait, have worked on it for
but for some reason the way I want the hole painting to look like I got it on he's left
elbow

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I think Im afraid to changes the shadows on
the face loosing the lookalike.

I'd like to see the whole painting with the same colour temperature as the detail. You seem to be concerned that the left elbow is dominating the composition(?), but he is obviously a big lad and the thickness of the forearm just conveys a sense of his bulk. I would not overwork the face, if I were you.

I am going to study this more...the glow and atmosphere are excellent.

I agree with Andrew! It's beautiful as is and very well rendered!!:clap: It may just be my moniter..but I'm drawn to the red spot just in the hairline on the forehead. Is it supposed to be there??
