I used two layers for this in photoshop, turned one Black and White and then painted the cab back to yellow.

Nice work. I love doing the old b&w switcha-roo as well.
Did you using some masking and the history brush? Or did you paint the cab a new color?

Very nice! Did you also color the stoplight red, or was that an artifact of the first layer?

I created a "snapshot" and used the history brush to paint both the cab and the red light.
Because I use a wacom tablet I did not have to use masking just brushed carefully.

Sad to say I actually took this photo at a low resoloution. I also did some cropping to post it.I interpolated it upto 1600 x 2000
in photshop and got a fairly good 8x10 print.
I have just purchased a 2.1 MP camera and will try to repeat the shot. Lots of yellow cabs in midtown and I think the Chrysler building will be there a while longer :)
