Completed in a pastel class today. Done on UART 400 with soft pastels - only 2nd time I have tried this paper. Usually use Wallis. Based on photo from reference library. C&Cs always appreciated. Thanks Pam

hello
looks good to me . :)
like the composition , subtle palette , soft b/g , modelling/volume of the critter ,
personal marks ( not ' postage stamp correct ' ( :) ) .

maybe a daub or two with a kneaded putty
on the darkest blue value-center of forehead ( to dispel a 'cyclops' look )
and lightest part of white marking above the beak
with concern to the sphere/volume of the head and how the edge turns away
( the marks can be refreshed , if suitable :) )

who is the instructor ? he/she should be taking note of this painting . :)

Very nice! I like the sense of depth and fluffiness of the feathers, he's arrested motion. I get the feeling of how quick he turned his head and how quick he could fly away. Gorgeous feather texture and bright little eye.

Seems like you've got an awesome class!

Great drawing and color! The form may benefit by more range of value- light side lighter and shadow areas darker-
