I did this piece as a wedding present for a couple being married in late October. They love fall colors - actually have chosen oranges, golds & rusts to use in the wedding. Her favorite flower is the hibiscus. This is my first time using Uart and I found it very difficult.

LinettaLee this is Very nice. Your dark background sure make the flower pop right at you. The lucky couple will love this. Bill

This is beautiful and what a lovely wedding gift. I am sure they will love it.
I tried Uart 400 and really liked it. I think each sanded paper takes a bit of getting used to. I will use it again.

Beautiful work, I am sure they will love it. I am wondering what grit of Uart you used? I like Uart 400, the higher grits are smoother, I much prefer the 400.

Oh wow, beautiful!! THIS is how I wanted the "hellbiscus" I "painted" for my mom to turn out.

Thank you everyone! I am always so very excited to hear from you and appreciate your comments so very much. I did use 400 grit paper, but think my main problem is not really the paper at all. I am so used to using PanPastel rather than sticks and ArtSpectrum Suede, which is really soft. It is just a completely different way of working.

I am praying they really will want this piece of art. It is difficult since art is so subjective to each individual. But, fingers crossed .....

btw, Christina, I love the term "hellbiscus" When I asked the groom what his fiance's favorite flower was .... he said "succubus" Took me a bit to figure out what he really meant, and then I had trouble not literally rofl.

Beautiful. Only tried the UART 400 twice so far. First time tooth was gone before I was done but second painting was okay. Will probably stay with Wallis. Pam:wave:
