Alain, another beautiful painting. Your stroke work is wonderfully unique and I'd recognize it without seeing your name.

Je connais cet endroit...

Beautifully dappled light - this reminds me instantly of those cool, still green corridors of the Canal du Midi.

Wonderful work as ever :)

Thank's Nicole.
I see that you know this place...

The right place ( l'endroit exact ) is:" Les Cammazes " ( après St Ferreol ).

Beautiful as always Alain. I was out exploring a new area Sunday and saw some scenes that made me instantly think of your paintings. Of course I took photos and will attempt paintings thereof in due course. You are an inspiration!

I think the way you handled the drop of the canal or water path with your lights is really beautiful. How many "greens" do you have in this piece? Not one too many I don't think. B

I use many different colors but close tone some of the others. For this pastel approximately 50 colors.
A majority of greens (30 approximately) and then purple, chestnuts, some very bright yellow for the light, and a little white sometimes.

Thank's Ron !
I particularly looked after the work of the light in this pastel. With colors, and with stumps, trying to create a deep effect (shaded off in the backgroud and "direct" work, without stump in the foreground ).
