I know that view from the foothills across the valley. The painting looks fabulous, I will be eagerly watching for updates. It's nice to see others from Boise on this site, there are more than I would expect considering how many participants there are from all over the world! Welcome aboard! Sandi

Thanks Sandi! It's on the Seaman's Gulch trail in West Boise.

I kinda painted myself into a corner, with my color study, I worked out the foreground but the sky is so complicated I just dove right in. It will turn out in the end, this is just the hard part. This is maybe my 10th piece since taking up watercolor. I've never seen anyone else paint like me, i guess it's my linework experience coming through ;-)

I want to put my face up to those beautiful swirly clouds, and just *stare*. Getting a chair, and I'll put on some coffee for everyone while I'm up.
I'd like to see a good deal more of you painting like you!
