Hi folks,
This is the latest off my board. The painting is 12x16, painted with Daniel Smith and Da Vinci watercolors, on 300# Fabriano paper.
During my painting process I take daily photos of my progress. The painting is completed but I am including the progressive series to show how it grew. Feel free to move this post if it is in the wrong place. I look forward to your critique and comments.
Regards,
Greg.

Greg,
I love architectural subjects and your Church is a real treat to see develop. The finished painting is beautiful.

I added a link to this WIP thread in the Gallery thread for your painting. :D

Excellent painting with lots of lovely details! A complex and difficult subject but, nicely done. Also thanks for the WIP photos, very helpful.

I do have to say one thing though, the perspective is very slightly off. The bottom of the spire farther away extends down a tiny bit too much. It's not noticeable much due to the lovely details, but it does catch the eye as it's the front face of the building. Your initial drawing was quite accurate, but it seems with every wash, it went down a tiny bit more. As a beginner, this was quite instructive for me too.

Your sky is particularly nice. I also was interested in the layers of color as you worked the building part from the first layer up. Thanks for sharing this.
