A few years back I concentrated (because of a crowded studio) on painting the artists painting a model. Here's one where the "pose" is even off the canvas. However, recently, there are fewer artists so I always find room to paint the, paid for, model. Sometimes I wish these sessions were better attended so I can slip to the back of the room and catch the REAL action...

I like this view of the 'real' action! Often too distracted by the model to see this but it sure feels familiar. I think the easels make some really nice compositional lines and the artist's poses are interesting. Cool piece.
