Hmmm. Not much to say about this one, but would love some C&C.
There are a few things that aren't working for me, but nevertheless...sorry about the background. Its resting flat on a plywood board right now.

Rachel-- really diggin the red outlines against the trees-- nice!
Actually, I think I would call this one done, IMHO.

Great idea, love the red, too.
The upper backgrounds between the trees are distracting with each space a different pattern, whilst the lower are continuous reds>>it almost works for me.
The over-all impression is quite eye-catching,
I think it stands as is. Lesser detail in the background at the sides help keep it from being too busy on the whole.

all of this is so interesting to me. I thought the plain-ness of the tree shapes would offset the busy-ness of the background...(and so do the less busy sides) ?
personally, it feels like a hot mess. Im feeling like gesso'ing over this puppy and make that canvas count for something. I'm very pleased with how encouraging folks are on here, though! THANKS!!!
I've been going full boar as of late, and am deciding to take this weekend 'off'. Will revisit painting next week!!! need to be lazy for awhile.

" ...full boar... "
Perhaps your meant "full bore", as when
an engine cylinder wall has been enlarged to the maximum size (if it was bored out any more than that the sides would split because they were too thin)
or meaning the maximum firing load an gun barrel can hold (the size of the inside of the barrel is the 'bore', as in 22, 45, etc)
or it means you are going to keep chasing wild pigs until you drop...
