Very nice, classic palette and value study. Good likeness too. The highlights really glow. Well done no-one-home. (Do you have a real name we can call you? Not that it's required, just more personal to get to know you and your work.) Thanks for joining in!

Not an exact likeness
Sorry. It was the best I could do in the allotted time. I guess I won't do portraits again.

I think this is awesome - you should definitely do portraits again!!!!! I love the skin tones and contrast - excellent job, especially with a limited palette. Good work!!

Sorry. It was the best I could do in the allotted time. I guess I won't do portraits again.

Please don't let that discourage you. I am certain it was not intended to offend you. We're often so familiar with each other on here (and most of us ask for critiques) that we probably say more than we should. It is not an insult, just an opinion. Critiques are how we improve as artists. Hardly anyone gets an exact likeness in the allotted time. The more portraits you do, the better they will become. I can't believe I even posted some of my early ones!:p

I LOVE the canoes! You really brought some life to the rather dull colors and there is some wonderful depth. BTW- the refs are inspiration for you to do whatever you want, to make them yours. They don't have to be an exact copy. How boring would that be? Thank you for joining my WDE this week!
