Some time ago I experimented with combining certain media. The one I liked the best was this marriage between red chalk and watercolour on cotton paper.
I'd like to hear your opinion? :)

I love the contrast between the watercolor and chalk. How big is it?

About 25x35 cm. Not sure what that would be in inches. I can measure it more precisely tomorrow if you're interested. :)

That's like 10 x 14, a little bit smaller. I love the way the chalk granulates and settles. Nice!

very striking. The 'eyes' seem to be looking up at something.

Pleading, beseeching, not quite sure, but it seems inspirational to me.

I really like this effect.

most excellent painting dude

Wow, this is wonderful. I love the idea of chalk and watercolors. The colors here are great, and the red chalk works so well. That said, this one gives me the creeps :). Yet I feel sadness in there as well...

You have a superb way with expressions of emotion.

Super cheers, all of you. :)
Yes, I can't help but include emotions in my works. Sometimes I go overboard, but lately I have worked on limiting that tendency. Often subtlety is more powerful than the overwrought effect.
Thanx for your kind comments. :)

Terrific! Love the way the two media combine. Great image, too.
