View Full Version : WDE 12 Jul 13 - my 2 hour quickie challenge

I've had a rather odd weekend. I spent Friday finishing off ATCs for the landscape exchange to be posted on Saturday. Yesterday I finally managed to start a new project... but today ...well... My son's band was playing at a local festival in a pub garden... the sun is shining... ideal for fun... and music.... howver, I was fuinally sent the appointment for the MRI scan I've been waiting for since November. They have such a backlog they do them on Sundays..... now I', not happy about being forced into a tight tube... in fact the first time I had a terrible panic attack... I survived the last one on my head because of listening to Pink Floyd and having sedatives.... This one was for a full spinal and was going to be a long one.... so I've been on the old diazepam since yesterday and had to take 3 today before I went.. (in a taxi of course)....yo'll be pleased to know that I survived and was actually quite comfortable... I listened to Tales of Topographic Oceans by YES...... and went off.......although it did sound like trying to sleep through roadworks....
so I do apologise for typos etc

I decided to give myself a challenge,,, I am rubbish at quick sketching....
I couldn't decide what ref to do and knew I wasn't in any fit state to do justice to any of them....

...so I set myself a challenge....
To do as many sketches as possible in 2 hours from the refs....
I did them using my laptop monitor and sketchbook aside....

They aren't very good, but best I could manage today......

I only managed 14..in the 2 hours.... so here it is..... my quickie sketchbook debacle.

Thanks for hosting Bonnie, sorry I couldn't do better this time.I'll try to do something better next time. :o

I'm so far behind with projects, and with us actually having the first summer we've had for 5 years, i'm enjoying it...

sorry about the scans....

Well you have had a busy couple of days and it sounds like the hospital visit was at least tolerable and you have managed these lovely sketches as well. And you won the ashes as well. At least we weren't totally humiliated this time.
