Inspired by some old paperback illustrations.

Nothing groundbreaking, but simply FUN to do :).

C&Cs are welcome.

9in x 12in, acrylics and india ink on wc paper, 140lb hot press.

Just finished... started about same time. The Gentleman Explorer & His Goggles, 6in x 8in (depends on frame/mat).

The colors you chose for the chick are awesome...I really like how you placed the colors leaving other areas without...very nice!

I too find them to be fresh and clever and charming. Really like the way you used negative space against the fresh white and brilliant purple on the chicken.

Both are nice. You're right, not ground-breaking but there is an easy charm that comes with the simplicity you're displaying here.
