Hi:wave:
This is bit late, but I really wanted to attempt these..

Mother Hen is in watercolor wash and pen on sketchbook paper, 8"x10".time taken: 1 hourhttp://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/12-Jul-2013/1274253-Mother_Hen_WC.jpg

This was my favorite picture and I wanted to do this in watercolors, but finally went for pastels..my new love!

This is again sketchbook 8"x10" done in soft pastels. time taken approximately 2 hours

Enjoying this forum! thank you for hosting this WDE and the lovely pictures..

See you soon!

You are welcome! The two are great, hummingbird has great colour, but I really love the big fat hen and her tiny passenger. Great!

Love Mother Hen and Chick - nicely done with pen and wash - and the hummingbird has nice background depth - well done Kish!

Like them both. Quick hen and brilliant pastel.

Very nice! The only advise I can make (which I also have a hard time following) is to just keep on painting and you will inevitably see improvements along the way. Welcome to the WDEs!

Good job on both, Kish! I love that you are allowing your own personal creative edge to show in both pieces! THAT is what makes art shine out! Never be a slave the reference image. Keep at it!
Welcome to the WDE!
