Painted this before lunch yesterday, it made me really hungry!!

I usually do pen & watercolor but am trying to learn to better control my brush so I'm taking a scary break from the pen.

It's about 4x6 with Windsor & Newton pan colors, just ultramarine, burnt umber, cadmium red light, and a teeny touch of yellow used in this.

C&C much welcomed, I have a lot to learn. ;) Thanks!!

That's nice! You're doing very well without your pen

And, now I am hungry as well. Thanks a lot! ;)

You have a very nice feel for watercolor. Your washes are good, especially in the roaster. I like the way you put the dark next to light of the roaster, but it needs to be darker. The garlic could use some dark value areas as well. If you were using a pen, think where you would put the dark areas, and do SOME of that with watercolor dabs and line.

Thank you Cyntada...and we roasted that garlic finally last night, yum!

Thanks for the tips, pjartwc, that definitely something for me to practice.
