Haven't painted in years, since 2010. Above is my latest which was completed last week, I'd love to hear any opinions at all. Cheers.

Dramatic, surreal, crisp, and compelling. Love the way you did the cubicles and people especially. The chess piece married couple is a cool image, too.The meaning of it is something of a mystery to me. I don't quite get the connection between the 2 unless the cubiclers are dreaming of the wedding? and maybe that is a (house with a) 'white picket fence' reference at the bottom right? I am probably being thick! Thanks for posting.

Definitely cool concept and execution. I like the way you have mixed in interesting objects into the supporting cast for the COI.

Could you enhance the composition by integrating the COI in other ways besides spiting the frame? Nice work sytadel

Thank you for cross posting, I appreciate it. I see a link between squares on a a chessboard and the individuals in their own small squares. Interesting work!

Thanks for the comments! :) I like these observations, cubicals weren't intended to be linked with a chessboard or the wedding scene. Totally separate. That's why I enjoy this place, art is objective, it's a different experience for everyone.

Awesome stuff. So happy you started painting again! This reminds me of the avant garde period. Not sure, but does. :)

I don't understand the title and I don't care because this is unique and fun. A chess queen and king head for the bride and groom is a perfect match because every couple is king and queen on their wedding day!

The title refers to the general pressure from people to get a regular 9-5 job, and to get married.

Very cool. I assume that you are a fan of George Tooker.
