Other forums on W/C seem to be waning enthusiasm..so I'm starting these sketch postings to record my progress, since I've started a project of sketching everyday in hopes of improving. I usually surf between the Portrait, plein air, oil painting, and figure forum...but now I'll dump everything here and see where I am six months, then a year from now. My first few pages done last night. A bust my wife bought me for Christmas (of whom I have no idea). Some figures and Glenn Villpu lecturing. Then my lazy Dachshunds while my son watched TV.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/03-Jul-2013/61344-bust_001.jpg http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/03-Jul-2013/61344-sketch1_001.jpg http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/03-Jul-2013/61344-sketch2_001.jpg :crossfingers:

Great you have a life drawing opportunity. Were these timed sketches? Good job.

Yes the first two were 10 min I think and the last was 20 but I made her a little wide across her middle so started sketching parts of her. We draw for 3 hours every Tuesday but I only make it about twice a month. This time I arrived late and left early so this is all I got.. Just wasn't feeling it:/

You're very talented!

Drawing from life is an amazing opportunity, I hope the blahs never hit again during sketch time...;)

That last pose makes me chuckle! Lol, what was the model thinking? Not a very flattering position!

Good human sketches. You're making drawing a human look easy. I couldn't draw a person no matter how hard I tried. Good job.

Sketch of an island we kayaked to on the 4th. I took some photos and may go back and do a small plein air painting. And a Velasquez study. By the way my sketchbook is a 9x12 Beinfang 100% recycled paper, I started doing figure drawing in it back in 2001. It still has about 30 pages left.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/08-Jul-2013/61344-sketch4_001.jpg

Some ballpoint pen on printer paper. My long haired doxie Paulo, and a random old man who kinda looks like Sean Connery.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/08-Jul-2013/61344-sketch5_001.jpg

Hi! If you were posting an image from an ipad or other tablet then each image posted within 24 hrs overwrites a previous image because the image names or file path names are identical, I believe.

Regardless, marvelous work on all your figures and faces :)
