Your recent threads are kick starting my memory banks, Greg! I seem to recall an older and distant relative working at the Jordan Automotive plant some time in the early 1920's. I think they went out of business about the time of the depression or because of the depression.

Edit: I just now noticed your link to the information on the history of the Jordan Co. Thanks!

When I first saw this it had a lot of impact on me :) and now I can see it is still just as good. Good lines with simplicity. Love the color combinations of red and gold and it has a lot of potential for a spin off as several abstract paintings. Well done greggo!

This phot probably comes closest to what I have in mind for this series.

Painted 6 abstracts yesterday in this series, will wait until I revisit them tomorrow before I decide if they are done. Acrylics sure are quicker, but I miss the control of oils.

(Had already transferred the drawings on to the primed and painted undercoatings, more like paint-by-numbers at this stage)

Thanx Dave for sharing

Rick- thanx so much! This concept has turned out to really challenge me, but that's a good thing...isn't it?
