Encaustic on wood panel

I had fun with this one, but I think the shapes are too small and there are too many - it is busy for sure. This one was more about learning a new technique and exploring the torch. There is a lot of good texture and some of the copper colors word well. I will simplify the next one.

I made some changes...I am painting a pair to hang together. Not sure if these are done, but taking a break....

One last photo. I think they work, although I will pull back a lot on the next.

My first thought was what you said-- to busy. In fact, I had a difficult time viewing them on the monitor until you showed the last photo of both, side by side. Let me say, I like them! Again, perhaps to busy, but they are delightful and pretty to view from a distance. Also, I'm sure that they would make a good set.

Nice job.

as I have said before, these are good on the monitor, but I wish I could see them IRL.

Since I do expect to be in Texas, I just will have to wait for the National Tour of your work to pass through Nashville or Atlanta!!!

thanx 4 sharing with us

ps-- I only post at 100 resolution at 450 pixel width or height maximum.

helps make it harder to lift and easier to comprehend on the monitor

These are interesting, but I think your others are better and that your own comments are right on.

Hi Spotters...
I don't get to WC as often as I once did, but dropping by and seeing these has brought some delight to my day. Beautiful.

I am amazed at the different mind view I get looking at the individual pieces and then seeing them on a wall. Love the effect thy have on each other.
