Tried to crop this one a bit but I couldn't make a better comp. than your pic Christine :) I liked all your photos - I might have to do some more this weekend as the weather is grey and miserable today.
No printer, no scanner - work directly from the laptop and just have to make do with the camera. It is hard to get the colours right on the camera.
Gouache 21 x 16 cm - 90 minutes - painted over a ruined page in my sketchbook - after giving the page a wash of dark grey watercolour - Recycle Ros is my second name

Beautiful! All the good elements are there - foreground, main subject and background - all well executed. Great use of an otherwise wasted page!

Hey Ros, thanks for joining in. It was really wonderful to get the chance to meet you and your husband last week. It is such a thrill for me to meet up with Wet Canvas friends.
I love what you have done with the winery, the loose confident brush strokes add an energy to the painting. I love it.
I know what you mean about the recycling, I do it myself. Waste not want not they say and sometimes the dud painting actually adds to the new one going on top.
It is a cold miserable day here today but the rain seems to have stopped for the moment. I think I might head down to the studio now and see what I can come up with.

Gouache is a great way to recycle especially for a sketch book:) Love the blues.

Ros, I like this!
Must show to my friend Kimmy. We wondered what this painting would be about -- the cottage or the flowers. You've solved it perfectly with no adverse competition between the two.
