I too, didnt post for a loooooong time. A lot longer than a year, but I'm glad to be back.

14" x 10". Painting on the unprimed linen gives it an interesting effect. You have to lay the paint thick, like painting on concrete... I think that's how Van Gogh worked although I'm not positive.

It sounds like van gogh... I doubt he had extra money too add a primer coat of paint.

Nice earthy tones, very warm and friendly. Quite interesting forms and shapes.

I do put a layer of rabbit skin glue on, otherwise the oil will eat the linen. Just the gesso that I omit.

I dig it. I like the texture that the un-primed linen gives - I am a big fan of this artist Tibor Nagy (http://nagytibor.com/workszoom/914350) and he paints on linen, and in many of his paintings leaves the linen showing.

I like the graffiti like feel of this piece, nice work, I look forward to seeing more!
