Hey everyone. FYI - this just in via the Mount Vision Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mount-Vision-Pastel-Company/73393904895?ref=stream&hc_location=stream):

"Thunderstorm Grey sale ends this Friday, act now: http://www.mountvisionpastels.com/IAPS%20Show%20Special.html "

Mount Vision Thunderstorm Greys come extremely highly recommended by people right here on WC (feel free to do a search). If you have been thinking about getting this set (pictured below) and don't have it yet, and the budget this week/month won't mind, this would be a great time to consider picking it up!

Look! Ooh, pretty...

You are such an enabler  ...... good thing I already have this set  ! Yes, I recommend it also, it's pretty much indispensable.

All - forgot to note that the usual price for the set is $69 + 7.95 shipping. This deal gets you the set for $65 including shipping.

Chris - lol! Guilty, but I do give myself credit for including all those disclaimers, including the budget one! That said, I admit that the "Look! Ooh, pretty..." probably didn't help.

This is a great set if you don't already have it.

I agree; this is a great set! Those greys come in handy for much more than just stormy skies. Don't you think you deserve to have this, Grinner?

Donna T, I already have the set and love it :) I posted this as a public service!

Jason, I was tempted for a moment, but figure I should probably use up the ones I have before buying it again... and that will take a while!

SueNM, equal parts sorry and you're welcome ;)

Grinner you cannot buy them, you cannot buy them!! Fortunately I am with my grands so can be distracted from temptation. They do look good though!

Oh that is wicked! LOL westcoast_Mike. I know the feeling. Grinner, go ahead and let yourself be tempted... BUT...

With something special like that, if I indulge I also promise myself to go do something special WITH it. So if you buy the Thunderstorm Grays, you need to do a glorious big skyscape with them. Not necessarily a big painting but one where the land's only about 1/8 or 1/6 of the area in the painting and the rest is all clouds. Or clouds over sea, which would also be easy to do with those grays.

I've got my Ludwig Sunset set to play with and though I've done the pansy painting with them, I really need to take sanded paper (or make it) and do an actual sunset with them, accenting with the violets...

The archive of WC is a great source of knowledge. But the funny posts are priceless too :)

Sorry, if I made you believe there is a sale this year too though. I have just noticed that it could be "applicable" these days.

Nick, it isn't nice to dangle candy in front of children when you know they can't have any!

oh, sorry sorry sorry  I have just just found out what the shipping costs from the U.S. to Europe are, so yes, I can't have any.
But after I clean all my Sennelier half sticks, I bet I will be as in love with them as I was the first day :) Maybe I will even think about ordering them AGAIN just like Jason.

Oh that feeling can happen! I get that sometimes about my Unison 120 Half Sticks, but then I take them out and clean them and that satisfies it. One of the perks of keeping them in set boxes is reliving that thrill of first getting them. I didn't do that with my Sennelier half sticks because I moved, but I am still tempted by 120 Paris Collection even if most of the additional colors are neutral grays and browns.

When I first started my pastel painter friend suggested I get a half stick set of Senns and the Thunderstrom Greys set. They were perfect for getting started! I probably use at least one Thunderstorm Grey per painting :)

Oh, SarahRose, you are not helping ;););)
Why the postage has to more than double the price?http://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/funny/1/bang.gif
