Monk about 6x5" with Graphitint and Inktense. Didn't want to add much water to change the colors. Sally Lightfoot on the lower half of the copy paper on which is printed her image. Pastel pencil and watercolor about 5x7"
Was planning on a quick sketch to paint, but it came out OK, so here it is:)
Flamingo also on the bottom of the copy paper. Quick sketch in pastel pencil with a bit of watercolor to finish. About 4x5" If I get inspired, might add the small monk next to the tall.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/25-Jun-2013/91319-monk.jpg http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/25-Jun-2013/91319-crab.jpg http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/25-Jun-2013/91319-Scan.jpg

Thanks to Joel and all his FB friends for the lovely images. Flamingo was the quickest sketch and it looks it. The other two were done in bits and pieces and I like them both.

All three are great, Paula! I esp like the unblended color in the skin tones of the Monk!

Paula! These three sketches are exceptionally beautiful! I agree with Dean about the way you rendered the skin of the monk without blending - lots of skill there! I adore the colors in the crab it's amazing how they just fit in and gave him that "look at me" look :D . I like the spontaneity of the flamingo sketch. Great job and thanks for joining us this week!

All are neat. I like your colors in the crab and I like how you did the flamingo, with the lighter center and darker pink lines outlining it.
