Another teacher here in İzmir (also an American) said she liked my paintings and asked me to paint a picture of some colorful doors in Dublin for her vice principal. It's for his birthday. It's 11x15" on Canson .. fun to paint. I feel like with commissions (or at least this one) I felt much more freed up and loose to paint and experiment because I know I'm not keeping it. Funny, I imagine most people tighten up on them .. anyhow here is the final copy. I think it'll look nice framed. Has a sort of classic watercolor feel I think ..

It's delightful Josh! I'm sure your client will love it. I've always been fascinated by doors in different parts of the world; I'm always photographing them. I love your colorful versions; and that wrought iron fence is great too.
