Thanks for the invite over here, Jon!

Here are some of my pieces that I have been working on lately. I have been doing a painting-a-day challenge, just 6x6", oil on board:

well, one of today's, the other looked like this:

There has been a lot of interest in these paintings, the first one sold within an hour of putting it up online and I have galleries interested in showing them all together.

I am finding it very satisfying representing the landscape in this way!

I like the first two the best but they are all very nice. Congrats on the sale and looking forward to seeing more of these. Nicely done.

Very nice and very easy to enjoy. Good sense of composition - lots of oomph in a little 6x6 Rolina

Lovely artwork here. Thanks for sharing with us :). I like the last one best.

Nice miniatures. One suggestion is to hide your tubes of blue--there's way too much of it in these pics--even though according to one source--blue is the most salable color in paintings. Smart girl!

These are great. I love 'em. Especially the first four. Please don't lose the blue!

Excellent work! I like the small size though these would be stunning on a larger scale.

Having done a multitude of abstracts on 8"x8" supports, I know how difficult it can be to do effective abstracts in the miniature and these are GREAT.

great work, each one has it's own way of drawing you in, simple and clean lines

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the encouragement and feedback!

Lobsterpot - hide my blue paints? Hell, no!

It has been fun painting these on such a small scale and, yes, some will be worked up into larger paintings, I am looking forward to that.

Again, thanks everyone for taking the time to look and comment.

I'm just back from vacation and I made tons of thumbnail sketches with the intention of attempting some small abstract landscapes and now I'm feeling so intimidated! I hate you  Not! I find I always return to a more realistic or impressionistic style when I attempt anything abstract or modern. These are fabulous!! OMG, keep that blue!

Addie, I am sure you will do a fine job, I too find it difficult not to be realistic with my paintings, this has been my attempt to learn to abstract a bit more. I look forward to seeing your paintings!

Katie, thank you so much, I am nearing the end of the 30 days of this project and will post more soon!
